For your travel to the conference, you are welcome to make use of the "Veranstaltungsticket" of Deutsche Bahn which provides special and non-changing booking rates. Booking will be possible starting in autumn.
From Darmstadt Central Station, you can reach the darmstadtium in 10 minutes:
- Bus route K / H (from Steig 4 Ost) to “Schloss”, then 150 m walk
- Tram 2 (from Steig 3 Ost) to “Schloss”, then 150 m walk

By car
There are 450 parking spaces available at all times in the underground car park beneath the Darmstadtium.

Entrance to car park: Alexanderstraße or via Schlossgarage/Karolinenplatz (from there, the route to the darmstadtium underground car park is signposted)
Parking fees: €2.70 per hour / €17 per day (as of June 26)
By plane
Frankfurt Main International Airport is a 20-minute drive away.
The “AirLiner” shuttle bus runs every half hour, taking passengers from Frankfurt Airport (Terminal 1) directly to the darmstadtium, with stops at Darmstadt Central Station and Luisenplatz.

Darmstadt Card Kongress
The Darmstadt Card Congress is available as a day ticket and as a 2-day ticket. The card combines an RMV ticket for the use of all public transport in the city (tariff zone 40) with discounts on museum admission and numerous other attractions as well as free participation in a public city tour.

If there are no more hotels available in Darmstadt…
If the hotel room allocation is fully booked and the usual hotel booking platforms do not offer suitable accommodations in Darmstadt, we recommend accommodations in Frankfurt near Frankfurt Central Station, in the Gutleutviertel, or along the S6 S-Bahn line (e.g., Frankfurt West or Galluswarte). You can reach the darmstadtium via the RB68 regional train or the RE60 regional express bound for Mannheim in 37–45 minutes (including the tram in Darmstadt and walking time).
Alternatively, you can reach Darmstadt from Frankfurt via the S6 S-Bahn line in 55 minutes.
With the Deutschlandticket, there are no additional travel costs.
In addition, hotels in the Odenwald are conveniently located. From there, you can take the Odenwaldbahn (RB81 and RB82) to Lichtwiese or Ostbahnhof in about 30 minutes (from Höchst or Bad König) or 40 minutes (from Michelbach), and reach the darmstadtium on foot (or by tram) in another 20 minutes. Please check www.rmv.de for the latest information on any delays on the Odenwaldbahn.
